Stan, Denise & Adele Beamish live approximatley 20 miles west of Cork City in Bandon.

Stan & Denise became full time workers with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in March 1993. Their minsitry is split between teaching in Primary Schools during the school year (September to June) and in the summer months they are kept busy running 4 weeks of camps for children and young people.

Schools ministry

During the school year (September to June) we are given a 35 minute weekly slot in each classroom where we (more or less) run a mini Sunday School Programme of Bible teaching, memory verse work, singing and sometimes (time permitting) a quiz.

At present,we are teaching 27 classes each week. At Christmas and Easter we also have had the opportunity of teaching in schools which are not on our regular timetable.

Camps

Our main ministry during the summer months is camps for children and young people. We run 4 weeks of camps splitting the age groups into: 8-9 year olds, 10-11 year olds, 12-13 year olds and the Teens (14-17 year olds).

Over the last 5-6 years we have begun to see the schools' work feed the camp ministry. Last year we had approx 185 children and young people at camp. For this year (2007) we have almost 80 bookings already with camp forms being posted out only 2 weeks ago.

We thank God for the opportunity of being able to spend a full week with these children. However, we would ask you to pray for the need for Camp teams. This area of the summer work has become more & more difficult over the past few years. At times we have found ourselves too close to the start of Camp without the help we need.
