Rooted in Christ
Course Introduction
The Rooted in Christ course is a small group, interactive course which encourages you to grow in your Christian faith in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
Groups meet once a week over a continuous ten week period, eash session lasting two hours with a tea break in the middle.
Who is it for?
It is for women who are spiritually hungry to know God in a deeper way.
What will you gain by taking part?
You will:
- Get to know God and His purposes in a deeper way
- Learn to draw on His resources
- Learn practical basics of the Christian Faith
- Learn to deal with many of the issues facing you in the Christian life
Course Content
The focus is on the personal relationship of group members with the Lord. The first hour of each session is spent on sharing and discussing the past weeks study. In later sessions group prayer is added.
The second hour is devoted to basic teaching in an interactive format. This section includes:
- A simple outline of the Gospel
- How someone can be certain of their salvation
- Why, as believers, we struggle with temptation
- Memorising scriptures and how to meditate on them
- Out new identity ‘In Christ’
- How to deal with temtation and sin
- Understanding God’s Will
- Biblical principals relating to relationships with others
- How to share your testimony
